Agua Amarga is a small town in the province of Almeria, in Andalucia in the southern part of Spain. Aguamarga is surrounded by the Natural Park Gata-Níjar.

DESCRIPTION

Agua Amarga is a small fishermen village with less than 400 habitants,which has become detination of visitants in search for nice, calm, uncrowded and unspoiled beaches . 

It is within the Parque Natural del Cabo de Gata y Níjar. Its beach has hundreds of meters of fine sand and there are opprotunities to practice windsurf, catamaran and scuba diving.

Catalogued by UNESCO as World Biosphere reserve The PArk has a wide diversity of landscapes: abandoned mines, fisherman towns (San Miguel de Cabo de Gata, San José, Los Escullos, Isleta del Moro, Las Negras y Agua Amarga). A perfect place the discover the sea,the cliffs, unspoiled beaches that can be reached only by sea, the fishes...          

- Nearby villages:  como Níjar famous for its pottery and handcrafts. Rodalquilar Nearby town with the coastal castle "San Ramón and gold mines. 

- Sport activities: All type of sports may be practised: mountain bike, scuba diving, sailing in catamaran. In Aguamarga there is a PADI licensed scuba diving school, which also rents equipment and organises guided tours.
